Athleisure Staples

If there are two staples that are essential to any athleisure wardrobe, it’s the black statement bra and leggings. Any regular sports bra and legging are great for a quick trip to the gym, but when you want your look to take you beyond shavasana that’s when it’s time to step up your work out OOTD game. This bra and pair of moto leggings from Zella have just the right amount of detail and coverage to be an outfit all by themselves and right now, they’re both under $50 in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale with only a few sizes left in each.

When spin class is out and you’re ready to meet the girls for your weekly brunch date, slip on a basic white t-shirt and a leather jacket for a classic weekend look. This Madewell tote is also part of the sale (so are the t-shirt and jacket) and it’s such a great versatile piece for your daily wardrobe. I love that it’s perfect for daily wear and can easily carry your laptop for business meetings or your gym clothes for work out days while adding ubiquitous style to any look. I also love stealing items from Sam’s wardrobe now and then so these aviators from Ray-Ban are my favorite part of the look. It’s silly, but it creates these little reminders of him around me that I get to look forward to throughout the day.

I’ve made a personal commitment to my health to become more active now that we’re settled in Los Angeles. My diet is already pretty clean but I am guilty of not making enough time for fitness. Sam is a BEAST lately and has been training everyday. It’s inspiring to see how motivated he is and I’m trying to take his good mojo and channel it into myself. For this week, I’m committing to jogging at least two days and going to one fitness class. I’m debating between trying SoulCycle or a boxing class for the first time. What would be your pick?
