Happy Pups, Happy Us

I’m pretty sure this blog of mine is turning into the life and times of Sookie and Bones. These two have become such an incredible part of what makes our lives so happy, it’s hard not to include them in my posts. Since I consider my fur babes part of the family, I’m constantly doing research on products and nutrition that can help them live even longer and fuller, active lives. Both being rescues, Sookie and Bones needed additional attention and nourishment when we took them in – especially Bones. If you remember his adoption story, he was nothing but a bag of bones when we found him (hence the name). It’s hard for me to think there was a time when this happy guy went days without a meal and now, nothing but the absolutely best for my babies will do.

Through my partnership with Petcurean, I was able to learn (and the pups were able to taste test) their new pet food line, GATHER, that’s crafted from certified, organic, non-GMO and sustainably produced ingredients. The company handpicked a group of farmers, growers and fishers who supply the premium quality ingredients used in GATHER. Each recipe is free from rendered or genetically engineered ingredients and features a single source, fresh and dehydrated primary protein in three pup-approved formulas: Wild Ocean (fish), Free Acres (chicken) and Endless Valley (vegan). My pups gobble up the Free Acres recipe!

What I find especially interesting about these pet food recipes is the amount of attention and care for not only our furry friends that went into producing them, but the connection to our own personal values they provide. We all have particular diets to fit our individual nutritional and ethical standards. For me, I’m pescatarian and try to eat organic as often as possible. With these recipes, I can now also share those standards with my pets.
