There’s no avoiding it – bell sleeves are a major trend for fall. And why would we? They’re so fun! After rocking this bell-sleeve tunic from Free People for my last day at NYFW, I’m definitely a fan of this 70’s inspired trend. The sleeves add that effortless little sumthin’ sumthin’ that I love to have in every outfit.
For these pics, the hubs and my bestie from LA, Loren, and I all hit the streets of Chelsea for an impromptu photo shoot after a long day of meetings, a runway show and a lot of rain.
Can we take a moment to talk about these silver pretties from Kendra Scott? I’m absolutely in love with how simple yet head turning the design is. The chain actually threads through your ear so it balances on both sides, giving this delicate piece some major flare!
One of the things I love most about having a blog is being able to share it with people close to me. It makes me so happy when a friend wants to get involved and be part of it all and Loren has always been DTP (down to party/play/participate/pose… you name it!) in supporting me in this venture. We have the best time together and her creative insight always gives me new perspective and ways of thinking to keep making Happily Audrey the best reflection of my true self.. Which my fellow bloggers can attest, is a lot harder than it sounds.

What do you think about bell sleeves for fall? This top I’m wearing is actually a tunic and can be worn on its own with OTK boots or even leggings and booties. It also comes in a ton of different colors and patterns I’ve linked in the images below!
If you haven’t seen it already, here’s a look at my fourth day at NYFW in :30. This day featured my absolute favorite runway show with Georgine’s SS17 collection. I’m editing my full NYFW recap vlog with more insight into my week and the designer presentations I was able to attend. Make sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel for first alerts of when the videos are live!
Now I need to take some time to give credit to this amazing husband of mine! All of the photos you’ve seen from NYFW (and pretty much every other post of mine) are taken by my Sam; but it was this week that he really came through for me and was by my side every step of the way. As you know, this was my first New York Fashion Week and Sam made sure I felt all the support in the world by taking on the role of photographer, pizza delivery man, dress ironer, message therapist, mental therapist, coach and of course, husband – all while working at his demanding corporate job in the city each day. (Sam and I work from home in Tampa but have been in NYC so much lately because his office is based in the city.) We’d stop to take pictures in the morning before work, he’d come home with dinner ready and was always down for whatever it was I needed. In a world where no one seems to have any time, we do everything we can to make the time we have work for us and put it not only into our marriage but collectively into our individual passions. I don’t know how I got so lucky as to have such a supportive and selfless husband, but I will hold onto him every single day we have together.
